Plex, the service that allows anyone to organize their media library on their own home server, now also offers streaming series and movies for free to all users. The only requirement is that you must be able to bear to watch commercials.
The company reached an agreement with Warner Bros. to offer part of its content catalog on the service free of charge and with advertising. Now, this content is available directly from Plex apps on Android, Android TV, Apple TV, iOS, smart TVs and for the web, and to all users in more than 200 countries, according to its officials.
Movies are streamed at a maximum resolution of 1080p, and it is possible to pick up on another device exactly where you left off, just as with the user’s own content.
